A step deeper into the dunnage — with a larger allocation and a closer connection to one cask’s story.

A 1/6 share gives you a substantial portion of a single cask maturing beneath the earth in Kinglake. You’ll be able to track its progress through samples and distillery updates as it develops slowly and steadily. Owners will be grouped into casks based on their anticipated ageing preference - either a shorter maturation (around 7–12 years) or a longer one (12 years and beyond).

From the outset, Kinglake Distillery has focused on American Oak maturation, and most 6th shares will be filled into exceptional 200-litre ex-bourbon casks — the foundation of our house style and where our spirit reveals its clearest character.

For those who favour a richer influence, a small number of fortified wine barrels will also be available, offered to the earliest participants.

As the cask develops, owners will be invited to vote on the preferred timing for bottling. Kinglake Distillery will make the final decision, taking those preferences into account alongside the way the whisky is evolving in the cask.
